Voice Your Own Opinions in Wake Co. - 11/20/04

Voice your own opinions about which issues are most important to women and learn from the other women who attend. Meet other interested local women, and hopefully some activist!

Since 1988, the women of North Carolina have been meeting in small groups in fall of even years to discuss issues of public policy and to express priorities based on what they learn from one another. This information is forwarded to the North Carolina legislators in Women's Advocacy Day at the start of the legislature's "long session" in the odd years.

Diverse women around the state attend local sessions to discuss the Draft Agenda and make recommendations on the group's priorities for the next session of the legislature. Our Draft Agenda is the only document that describes the current status of women in North Carolina. You can download it at www.wakewaa2004.org.

A planning group of nearly 40 people representing more than two dozen organizations is working to host the Women's Agenda Assembly in Wake County. Join us for the event
